FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
We have welcomed many visitors over the past and some questions just keep popping up, so below is a list of the most popular and their answers....
However if you have any queries or further questions, we would be delighted to hear from you so please email us at info@groveestate.co.uk
How do I make a booking?
Simple really, just email us or call with the dates you wish to come, your contact details and if to hand your caravan club number. We will aim to respond as soon as possible.
How much does a pitch cost?
Unlike some caravan sites, there are no hidden charges for extra people, awnings, animals etc. The nightly rate including electrics for 2010 is £9.50
Why are there no pitch numbers or markers?
We have found that people like to 'find their own pitch' and therefore there are no pitch markers or numbers. Depending on if you have a tent or a caravan, be it winter or summer, we like to give people a choice where they pitch.
What time do you have to arrive and leave by?
There are no clocks or set timetables, so we welcome people whenever the arrive and whenever they are able to leave on the appropriate day.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes - the site is a dog friendly site but we do ask that owners keep them under control at all times and not cause disturbance to other guests. There are plenty of country walks nearby to exercise along.
I have a wide caravan. Do you have an extra wide entrance?
We have 2 entrances, one that is mostly used and an extra wide gate. Please download our directions and there you will see a site map showing where the entrances are.
Do you offer caravan storage?
At the moment no, permission is for a certified location site only.
I wish to host a caravan rally, what do I do?
Firstly talk to us. Let us know what are you looking for and what you need in terms of rally size and time of year and we will help to arrange from there.
We are planning a rally. Is there somewhere near for hosting indoor events?
Yes, very close on the same road, there is a modern village hall with catering, sports, bar facilities etc.
I have been before, so what is different for 2010?
Well, during the winter months we have been putting final touches to our rally field, with extra hardstanding, eurobollards (that provide electricity and water from the same spot) and a new club hut with toilet facilities.
Can I have a look around before booking or coming to stay?
Of course!
Pop by anytime. However we hope that the above FAQs have helped with some of your queries.
